  1. Hey mate. Thanks for this – I’m finding these discussions interesting and mostly helpful (even if I’m not sold) – the tone here is better! One tip: I know that this is grounded in some fairly careful thinking and reading, but it would be easy enough for someone unfamiliar with your tradition to look at this and think it was pulled out of air. Those people (and others who find it compelling enough to investigate further) would be helped if you included more in the way of sources/evidence/working; biblical or patristic texts, councils, theologians, etc.

    • That’s a good point. I was actually just thinking that this morning. At many points while I was writing it I was thinking of including a scripture quote or quote from the Catechism, but I didn’t want to interrupt my flow of thought by bouncing to another webpage and looking up a reference. I might go back and add some references later
